David Peck is an experienced corporate Toronto magician. Working in the greater Toronto area for over twenty-five years he has performed for and entertained audiences of all shapes and sizes. His show has something for everyone - elegant classical magic, comedy and audience participation. Each of these elements comes together on stage as David caters to the young at heart of all ages.
Having spent five years working closely with upper management at RBC Financial Group and Bell Canada, David has often been referred to as a relational bridge builder. As a summa cum laude graduate with an honours degree in Philosophy he has a keen sense for asking the right questions. His unique personal history has given him the ability to challenge, and at the same time understand, his corporate clientele and the corporate status quo.
David has created for himself an interesting niche which has enabled him to stand out as a public speaker, lecturer and prominent Toronto magician. He is an entertainer who understands subtlety and nuance. David has recently stepped into the Canadian Television market. He is co-creator with Jay Sankey, Babble on Communications and GAPC of an exciting new TV series for kids called Spellz.TM It is an educational and entertaining look at Sleight-of-hand-magic. David has acted as script, magic and historical consultant on the project. The show will air in the fall of 2006 on TV Ontario.
In 2004 and 2005 David also acted as project manager and instructor for Magic Hands. This is a unique Trillium funded program, introducing children to the arts through sleight-of-hand-magic. Much of David's time was spent at Bloorview Macmillian Children's Centre and in community centres throughout the greater Toronto area.
David also participated in Project Magic, a program created by David Copperfield to help occupational therapists use magic to work creatively in meeting the needs of their patients. David helped facilitate the introduction and implementation of Project Magic in several Toronto hospitals in the early 1980's.
